LeadingAge Ohio Awards Program
2020 Award Nominations OPEN
Attention LeadingAge Ohio Members:
As we continue to navigate challenges posed by the pandemic, LeadingAge Ohio knows there are some amazing stories and examples of caring, compassion and service like we’ve never known.
The LeadingAge Ohio annual awards program has been revamped with fewer categories and a shorter application to save time and help us celebrate the individuals and organizations we are so proud to serve. The need to honor and recognize has never been greater.
Make your nomination today! Deadline to submit is Friday, October 23.
The LeadingAge Ohio Annual Awards honor individuals and organizations that embody excellence in aging services leadership, are models of quality and innovation, and are making outstanding contributions to our field that merit recognition.
LeadingAge Ohio member organizations and/or individuals associated with them are eligible for consideration.

We've simplified the process for this year's submissions and each award category has only one simple question, using the criteria of the award listed below, what do you most want the judges to know about this nominee that compelled you to make this nomination? In your answer, provide concrete examples of leadership, innovation, achievement and impact, as applicable, that supports your statement about why the nominee merits recognition. Awards Selection Process
Nominations for the 2020 awards program are now open with a submission deadline of October 23, 2020. The Awards Committee will judge the entries and present the slate of winners to the LeadingAge Ohio Board of Directors. We will notify award winners and announce to the full membership prior to the Thanksgiving holiday in a special communication. LeadingAge Ohio staff will make arrangements with award winners to present the award at a date and time that works for the organization to maximize the recognition of the award recipient. All 2020 Award winners will be more formally celebrated during the 2021 Annual Conference. Additional details to follow.
You also will be notified if your nomination is not selected for an award once the slate had been presented to the Board of Directors. Even though not every entry will receive an award, all nominations are carefully considered and often lead to additional opportunities to “tell the story” of member accomplishments through such avenues as our website, media outreach, education events and other means.
The committee reserves the right to move nominations to different categories to consider them where they best fit. To celebrate this achievement, those programs/individuals that have been selected will be asked to create a two minute video sharing your thoughts and congratulations around receiving this honor.
