Comfort Care Packages
A Comfort Care Package is the combination of a blanket and a book or a bear and a book that is donated to a child in a hospice or palliative care program in the State of Ohio, whether they are a patient in the program or the family member of a patient.
The blankets are donated to us from the Columbus Chapter of Project Linus. Project Linus is a National Organization that makes blankets for children in need. To contact a Project Linus Chapter in your area, visit their website at www.projectlinus.org. We have a special message in each Comfort Care Package to show our support to each child.
The message for each child reads:
Books are the quietest and most constant of friends;
they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors,
and the most patient of teachers. ~Charles W. Eliot
We hope this Comfort Care Package brings you

"Our community has been very hard-hit by serious unmet grief support needs, so I am looking forward to doing new things to fill in the gaps in our present child-teen bereavement program by introducing Bobby's Books to local schools, churches, libraries and service organizations. My "retirement" dream is beginning!
Thanks for your assistance in making this happen!"
